She sees through Bahamian eyes.

Everyone sees through their own eyes with their own unique perspective.
Determined by where they are from, past experiences, things they have endured, seen, been a part of, culture, upbringing, family, society, things that make them uniquely them. We have to learn to appreciate everyones perspective… even the ones we don’t understand. Then we can truly learn from one another.

One day…

Who you are right now, your age, your body, your perspective, your situation…. will all be but a memory. Maybe when older people  tell us “this is the time of our life”, we need to listen, and THOROUGHLY enjoy EACH MOMENT! We will never be able to look through these eyes again. Just now.

The click that happens, after looking through a ton of pictures i’ve taken when one stands out, when one just clicks and you know that is the “one”. It’s instant. Here is a little preview of what I mean. I went through over a hundred pictures and these two just clicked instantly.

Laurelsee.

Thee…Sally Mann

When I discovered this woman’s work I was in shock of the beauty! It gave me a new perspective on my own photography and the things close to me in my life. Her lifestyle and view on life is so honest and real, the intricate beauty of being human.

These are a few of my favorite pieces. For more click here – Sally Mann

This image is from a riot in Vancouver following the brutal defeat of the Canucks in the Stanley Cup.  (no offense… but it’s hockey.. come on people… let’s allow sport games to bring us peace and happiness!!)
